So, two things I am thinking tonight as I write this entry.
1) WOW it has been close to a month since the last time I posted....WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
and
2) WOW, Trey and I have been married for six years this Saturday.....WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
First of all, I had visitors this month, and lots of them. My sister, Laura, who I have not seen since 2004 (during my wonderful trip to Hawaii!) came to visit us for nearly two weeks. She also brought along with her my two precious nieces. Hannah is 3 and Kayla is 1 1/2. They were a joy, a handful, but a joy! Well, they were here visiting for nearly 2 weeks, and somewhere in the middle of the visit, guess who shows up??? Drum roll please....YUP, the husband for hire! Okay, that is a little bit of an inside joke between she and I, but the point is that her husband showed up and it was the first time I had EVER met him since they have been married (which will be 6 yrs next yr). I was delighted! He stayed for about 5 days I think. Well, being that my other sister Elizabeth and her daughter, Chloe live in town, we obviously expected them to spend plenty of time here as well visiting, after all it had been many years since they had seen one another. WE HAD A HOUSEFUL! Needless to say, once everyone left I was exhausted! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit but am happy to reclaim my home as my safe haven and soft place to fall....I know you understand what I mean. Anyway, school started back for me while they were here visiting and I have been wrapped up in that as well, then Taylor also started school on the 25th of Aug so that has kept me busy too. I'm sure you can imaging the total confusion, exhaustion, excitement, and chaos of it all! Isn't life fun! TOTALLY!
NEXT- onto my marriage. WOW, totally can 't believe that Trey has stuck it out with me this long. We started dating in March of 1999 and will be married for 6 yrs this Saturday (September 2nd). How can one person put up with another for that long? Talk about love and dedication. And to think, we still have 40+ to go (God willing). I have to tell the truth, our marriage has been a road of rocks, potholes, construction, traffic jams, and road rage....HOWEVER, they are all worth it for the moments and times that we have had the whole open, newly paved highway to ourselves, cruising in our convertible with the top down staring up at the starry night sky without a care in the world thinking we owned the universe. Yes, there have been those times too. I love my husband dearly and can only pray that he have a glimpse of the depths of my love for him. I know that God has a purpose for our union and I intend to honor my commitment to my husband for many years to come (as a matter of fact...until death do us part is how I recall the vows going). I'm thankful to be married to a man that loves me and is committed to our family. Thank you Lord. Thank you. I just can't say thank you enough.

Daddy & Daughter Date!
So, I've been sick and tired lately....ALOT! I've also been home 24/7 with my beautiful daughter Taylor (who is 5 going on COMPLETELY GROWN!). Unfortunately, at the present time, Taylor is an only child and has no one but MOMMY to play with during the day (we can't wait for school to start). Since mommy hasn't been exactly feeling up to par lately, the play dates have been a bit rough to say the least (almost non-existent to tell the truth). Yes, on occasion (and I mean rare occasion) we will invite a friend over for her to play with during the day, however, this seems to backfire as I end up exerting more energy tending to the two of them than I do with just Taylor. Anyway, to make a long whiny story short I have been begging my husband for some down time (you know, just some me time to relax and be at peace with myself...). So, drum roll please.....dum dum dum dum....THEY ARE ON A DADDY & DAUGHTER DATE TONIGHT! Yes, it is true! Trey is has taken her to the infamous Mc D's and then out to see Over the Hedge (supposed to be a hilarious animated flick) at the dollar theatre! Doesn't that sound like fun? And the best part is.....I don't feel a bit guilty! Not only am I not playing with her, but she is also not here at all, and I know she is still in good hands and having a blast! Everybody wins! Okay, okay, Trey might not necessarily agree at the present time (let's just say his patience nerve isn't quite as long as mine....and the child talks....ALOT!), but I'm sure in the years to come he will totally appreciate the wonderful memories and cherish the times he had with her while she was still little. So, just thought that I would update you on the peace and serenity that is happening in my home at the present....and to top it off there is a beautiful thunderstorm in the works. I have just gotten out of a nice refreshing shower and am about to curl up on the couch in my robe with a good book! Ah, life is nice. Suddenly I don't feel so sick and tired!
